Prototyping

Prototypes need to be fast and able to respond quickly to incorporate the feedback, so use tools that are familiar and can be used at pace.

Try to prepare stock photos, logos and other items that can be used to build the prototypes before the sessions, as the time available should be used to prototype the ideas rather than search the web for the best photo.

Short cuts are encouraged and necessary to provide an interactive model or representation of the final solution, not the final solution itself. The mantra here is to keep it light, fast and responsive to the feedback.

Prototyping sessions should be done with end users and stakeholders to provide deeper insights and feedback from the prototypes as they try to use the products or services.

Rapidly iterating the prototypes based on the feedback keeps momentum and makes best use of the time available, hence, needing to use a prototype medium that is fast to build things with, can be interactive and can generate rich feedback.
