Outcomes

This exercise challenges you and your team to understand the Agile Manifesto values and their deeper meanings.

Tasks

  1. In your team fill out the blanks in Part 1 of the Agile Manifesto Discussion Worksheet
    1. Active cheating is encouraged….
    2. Check out http://www.agilemanifesto.org
    3. In your team pick a value from the website and fill out Part 2 of the worksheet making note of the following:
      1. Why is the word “over” used as opposed to “instead of” in the value?
      2. What does this value really mean?
      3. What if you only had the right hand side of the value? Would that work?
      4. What if you only had the left hand side of the value?
      5. Why was this value included in the manifesto and why is our attention being drawn to this value?
      6. Write your findings in Part 2 of the worksheet
      7. Repeat steps 3 – 4 until all of the values have been discussed
  2. Complete Part 3 by completing which elements of the Scrum Framework embody each value
  3. Finally call over the coach when you want to review your work
