The Scrum Team
The Scrum Guide [1] describes the Scrum Team as comprising the Product Owner, Scrum Master and the Development Team who work together as an independent cross functional and self organizing team to deliver products incrementally and iteratively.
The notion is that a cross functional team has the capability to complete “potentially releasable” Increments per Sprint “…without depending on others not part of the team.” [1] The self-organizing behaviour of the team is intended to optimise the team’s efficiency without having to be directed by others.
