Story boards provide a visual script or user flow as a user achieves a goal or outcome. These can be referenced during prototyping to provide context for the features and how they are expected to be used.
On a whiteboard or flip chart paper draw the steps that a user follows. These do not have to show every step in the user flow, but instead draw the key events as they achieve the goals.
Also, not every use case has to be covered, but the key and most important ones can be represented on the story board.
