New page

The Queue Replenishment meetings are intended to provide an opportunity for the team to interact with their business and technical stakeholders to consider the next priorities in the Value Stream.

When the team are working they can be quite tactical and low level in their thinking to deliver the work and often take a tactical approach in their Daily Standup meetings as a result. This forum is then an opportunity to reassess the intent behind the work and the consider the higher level strategic opportunities to head towards in the work.

Combining both the low level tactical understanding of the work with the Daily Standup meeting and the high level strategic understanding of the intent behind the work in the Queue Replenishment meetings allows both perspectives to complement and influence each other with new learning.

Holding the Queue Replenishment meetings at the Card Wall will help to provide content for the discussions, and it may also be a good idea to provide a high level diagram such as a work flow, User Journey or architectural diagram for example to provide a high level orientation and context for the discussions.

Attendees
Generally, stakeholders, Product Owners and the team are normally expected to attend these meetings and contribute their understanding and expertise to the conversation and land on the best approach for the work.

Stakeholders may be from a business and technical context, where technical stakeholders may be system administrators, architects and system owners for example, and business stakeholders may be customer facing representatives, marketing or product management for example.

Frequency
The Daily Standup meetings are normally held daily as the name suggests, however, Queue Replenishment meetings are not normally required to be as frequent, as the high level direction may not change as much, and so once or twice per week may suffice.
